Split a PDF or Extract Pages โ Without Uploading It
Sending a 60-page contract to an online splitter just to keep pages 12โ18? That means the whole document โ every clause, every signature โ travelled to a stranger's server. Here, splitting happens entirely in your browser. Extract exactly the pages you need; the file never leaves your computer.
Two ways to split
- Extract a range. Keep only pages 5โ20 of a report โ perfect for sending just the relevant section.
- Split every N pages. Turn a 30-page scan into six 5-page files, or one file per chapter โ each downloads separately.
- Drop โ choose โ click. Same three steps either way: drop the PDF, pick the mode and numbers, click Split PDF.
Pages are copied without re-encoding, so extracted pages look exactly like the originals.
Why split PDFs locally?
Sensitive pages stay private
People usually split documents that contain too much: a full contract when only one exhibit is needed, a complete medical file when the referral letter suffices. Uploading those to a splitter defeats the purpose โ extracting locally keeps the parts you don't share completely private.
Instant, no queue
Online splitters often put you behind a queue on the free tier. Locally, splitting a 100-page document takes about a second โ it's your own CPU doing the work.
Works offline
Page loads once, then you can disconnect entirely and keep splitting, merging and rotating documents on a plane or in a dead zone.
Check it yourself
Open the browser's Network tab (F12) while you split โ zero requests go out after the page loads. Privacy that's verifiable, not just promised.
Splitting PDFs โ common questions
How do I extract just a few pages from a PDF?
Open the Split tool, drop your file, choose "Extract a page range", enter the first and last page you want (e.g. 3 to 7), and click Split PDF. You get a new document containing only those pages.
Can I split one PDF into many separate files?
Yes โ choose "Split every N pages". A 24-page document with N = 4 produces six PDFs, each containing 4 consecutive pages, downloaded one after another.
Is there a limit on file size or number of pages?
No artificial limits. Because your own device does the processing, the only ceiling is its memory. Documents of hundreds of pages split fine on ordinary laptops.
Do I need an account?
No account, no email, no payment. Open the page and use it.
